Background: |
Joe began practicing law over 15 years ago with a Portland law firm that specialized in tax, business and estate planning. Joe focused his practice in the area of complex estate and succession planning. Later, he left the Portland law firm and became a partner in a Vancouver law firm. In addition to being Of Counsel to Parsons Farnell & Grein, Joe currently has his own private practice in Vancouver, where he continues to practice in all areas of estate and succession planning. In the past, he has donated time and services as a pro bono attorney for the Volunteer Lawyers’ Project of the Multnomah County Bar Association. He also served on the Advisory Board for the Boys & Girls Clubs, where he held the offices of both secretary and treasurer, and was a director and counsel for the Marshall Christensen Foundation for International Higher Education. He is currently a member of the executive committee and Secretary for his children’s school’s PTA. Joe’s personal time revolves around his family which includes his wife Mary, and their two children, Rachael and Scott. Both kids are involved in many school activities and sports, almost all of which Joe attends. The family also loves to take more than their share of vacations. Joe enjoys exercise and loves to attempt to play golf on any course that is willing to allow him to play. |
