Practice Areas:

Insurance Coverage, Litigation

Background:

Kris grew up in Salem, Oregon. While attending Dartmouth College, he met his wife, Allison. After college, Kris moved with Allison to her hometown of New York City where he started his legal career working as a managing paralegal on a three-month-long SEC fraud trial. Kris then worked at several large firms, developing hands-on skills as a managing paralegal on intellectual property and general litigation cases.

Through his paralegal work, Kris developed a passion for the law and the litigation process. He returned to Oregon to attend the University of Oregon School of Law and to resume his wanderings in the high Cascades, Wallowa, and Olympic mountains. While in law school, Kris served as a legal research and writing tutor; an associate editor on the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation; and worked as a summer associate at a local Portland law firm. Whether navigating snow-covered mountain passes or obtaining insurance coverage for policyholders, Kris takes a pragmatic, common sense approach to charting a successful path.
