David represents small and mid-sized Oregon and Washington companies in transactional matters including corporate and limited liability company formation, operation and liquidation, mergers and acquisition, real estate sales and acquisitions, and taxation. He also represents high net worth individuals with tax, estate, and asset protection planning matters. His clients include early-stage and established companies in the technology and software sector, residential, commercial and condominium real estate developers, grocery and other retailers, construction companies, mortgage lenders, restaurants, delivery services, lumber companies, professional services companies, real estate holding companies, and family investment companies.
David values close collaboration with clients to solve pressing and complex business problems in an efficient manner. Working with a highly talented team of professionals, David leverages his extensive experience in transactional matters into creative and cost-effective solutions while remaining personally involved in every stage of the proceedings.
David grew up and was educated in the Midwest. Following his law school graduation, David earned an LL.M in taxation in Denver, moved to Oregon, and began practicing law with the other founding partners of Paternoster, Farnell & Grein, LLP, f.k.a. Parsons Farnell & Grein, Mike and John, in 1995.
